Though meanings and henna designs vary depending on the occasion and the type of celebration, mehndi stands for good luck, protection, fertility and love. My idea behind using Henna patterns as an inspiration to a unique interior design, was exactly that. Not only is the design intricate, detailed and beautiful, but the traditional meaning behind it and to have it as a symbolic art piece in your home would add the fine touch to any room. In addition to the symbols, ive also included swavorsky crystals within, having the ultimate glow when light embraces the wall at any given time. The Henna designs were painted with several hues of acryclic paints, giving it the realistic "henna paste" feel with enough texture to run our hand on the painting and feel every groove and stroke that was present to create this piece.
